September 2012 Events in Pigeon Forge

September 7-8:  Shades of the Past Hot Rod Roundup
The 30th anniversary of Shades of the Past will be held at Dollywood’s Splash Country. For participant and spectator details, visit their website.

September 13-15:  Dumplin Valley Bluegrass Festival
Get your fill of bluegrass music during this three day festival. See bands from around the country as the music starts at 9am and goes all day. The Dumplin Valley Farm RV Park is located in Kodak, TN.

September 13 – October 31:  Smoky Mountain Harvest Festival
Pigeon Forge joins Gatlinburg, Sevierville, and Townsend during this county-wide fall celebration. Harvest-themed displays and activities can be found throughout the towns during this beautiful season in the Smoky Mountains.

September 14-16:  Grand Fall Rod Run
Held at the Grand Resort Hotel and Convention Center, the Grand Fall Rod Run is a must for all car enthusiasts.

September 22:  Old Mill Heritage Day
From 10am-5pm join in the festivities at the 9th annual Old Mill Heritage Day in Pigeon Forge. Watch authentic Smoky Mountains demonstrations, hear mountain music and storytelling, and get a taste of real Appalachian food.

September 24-25:  Fall Heritage Festival and Old Timers Day
The town of Townsend will celebrate fall in the Smoky Mountains with bluegrass music, clogging, arts & crafts, and plenty of food. Located at the Townsend Visitor Center.

September 29-30:  Fall Smoky Mountain Trout Tournament
Adults and kids are welcome during the annual fall trout tournament. 10,000 trout will be stocked over 20 miles of streams. Prizes will be awarded for multiple categories like biggest trout and smallest trout. Register online for $25 for one day or $40 for both days.
