Food, Music & Games During Old Mill Heritage Day
Come out to The Old Mill Square in Pigeon Forge on September
22, 2012 from 10am – 5pm for the 9th annual Old Mill Heritage Day. This highly
anticipated fall event is a favorite among tourists and locals alike. Learn
what it was like to be a Smoky Mountain pioneer from demonstrations, crafts,
and storytelling. Take a free tour of the Historic Old Mill and see how antique
engines and farm tractors were used. Don’t forget to bring chairs or blankets.

The Old Mill has been in operation since 1830. At that time it produced the meals and flours
for the day-to-day existence of early settlers and even furnished electricity
for the town until 1935. It still
operates today, grinding corn and other grains for use in the Old Mill
Restaurant and the Pottery House Café and Grille. It is on the National
