Dolly Parton Comes Home for the Annual Dolly Parade

For the 27th year, Dolly Parton will return to her hometown to be the grand marshal at the Dolly Homecoming Parade in Pigeon Forge. Over 50,000 spectators are expected to watch the parade as it makes its way down the Parkway. The parade begins at 6pm on May 11, 2012.

You’ll see parade staples like marching bands, floats, baton twirlers, and clowns, plus other entertainers you could only find in Pigeon Forge. Tourists and locals alike anticipate the annual Dolly Parade. Kids love the live animals and tossed candy, while parents love the cost…free!

The parade route is between traffic lights 3 and 6. We recommend arriving plenty early as the parade route fills up quickly. Make sure to bring lawn chairs, drinks, and snacks. And don’t forget to wave to Dolly as she passes by on the lead float!

If you’re looking for even more Dolly Parton entertainment, spend the weekend in Pigeon Forge and take in dinner and a show at Dixie Stampede or experience the greatest theme park around at Dollywood.

I would love to see Dolly Parton in the Parade. She has done so much in the Pigeon Forge area and I'm so glad that she comes and does it every year.
