20th Annual Wilderness Wildlife Week set for January in Pigeon Forge

Pigeon Forge will host its 20th Annual Wilderness Wildlife Week event January 9-16, 2010. Wilderness Wildlife Week provides visitors with the ultimate Smoky Mountain experience as it is a series of activities that connect Pigeon Forge visitors with the great outdoors and the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

During this event more than 100 experts will be on-hand to share their knowledge of the great outdoors. More than 175 seminars, lectures and hands-on workshops will be available. Also, more than 50 guided hikes and walks will provide visitors will an up-close Smoky Mountain experience with nature. Authentic Smoky Mountain music will also be performed at Appalachiafest, an event that coincides with Wilderness Wildlife Week.

Activities for all ages attract thousands to this event. It has been recognized by the International Festivals & Events Association for its environmental and educational efforts.
